Northfield Bank Partners with Clean Ocean Action

Northfield Bank recently partnered with Clean Ocean Action (COA) and participated in a beach clean-up in Sandy Hook, NJ. Individuals who volunteered were from a variety of different departments across the Bank.

Volunteers were responsible for cleaning up and removing all unsightly and harmful debris on the designated beach and marsh area.  Participants collected and recorded valuable data about debris, which will then be presented in annual reports from COA and used to advance federal, state, and local programs to reduce litter. In total, 1,302 pieces of debris were collected, of that 1,140 pieces were composed of plastic.
