Be Alert For Scams Related to CrowdStrike Outage
Cybersecurity experts are warning consumers and businesses to be alert for scams related to the CrowdStrike outage.
- Beware of emails that claim to be from CrowdStrike offering solutions to the outage.
- Watch for phishing emails, phone calls or texts claiming to be from your financial institution asking for your personal information in order to complete a banking transactions.
Remember that Northfield Bank will never call, email, or text you asking for personal information such as account numbers, account balances, passwords, PINs, or social security numbers.
Unfortunately large scale incidents result in an increase in fraud attempts and it is important to remain vigilant.
