Northfield Bancorp, Inc. Again Receives Corporate Board Gender Diversity Award from the Executive Women of New Jersey

WOODBRIDGE, NJ November 5, 2015– NORTHFIELD BANCORP, INC. (NasdaqGS:NFBK), the holding company for Northfield Bank, was recently recognized with a Corporate Board Gender Diversity Award by the Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ).

The Executive Women of New Jersey presented the award on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at their A Seat at the Table networking breakfast. The event recognized and saluted New Jersey public companies with women on their boards and in executive leadership and presented the Gender Diversity Awards to companies with three or more women directors.

“Northfield is committed to diversity”, stated Steven Klein, President and Chief Operating Officer of Northfield Bank. “Having individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including representation of women in leadership positions at Northfield, is critical to providing innovative thinking and exceptional performance.”

Northfield is proud to be among the 16 diversity award recipients recognized by EWNJ. The other companies honored at the A Seat at the Table event were American Water, Becton Dickinson and Company, Campbell Soup Company, Children's Place, CIT Group. Inc., Dunn & Bradstreet, Honeywell, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Prudential, Quest Diagnostics, Inc., Realogy Holdings Corp., South Jersey Industries, The Chubb Corporation, and Vitamin Shoppe, Inc.

Northfield Bancorp was also a recipient of the EWNJ Corporate Board Gender Diversity Award in 2014.

EWNJ was founded in 1980 and is the only senior-level executive women’s organization in New Jersey that is devoted to increasing the presence of women serving on corporate boards and in executive leadership positions.
