Northfield Bank hosts “Blue Out”, Gives Back for Autism Acceptance Month
April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time that focuses on creating a more supportive world, emphasizing action, acceptance, and inclusion rather than just awareness. With autism affecting millions of individuals and their families, it’s important to share information that encourages acceptance, celebrates differences, and fosters more inclusive communities. By spreading awareness and encouraging open conversations, we can create environments where individuals with autism feel supported, valued, and empowered.
On April 15th, Northfield Bank held a special event where employees wore blue for a $5 donation. All proceeds from the event went directly to On Your Mark, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism through education, advocacy, and resources. The event was a great success, showcasing our commitment to autism acceptance and inclusion. The total amount raised highlights the impact of this collective effort in supporting the autism community.
